Advanced technology and unique technical services in chemistry and material science
It is the Kansas Polymer Research Center mission to promote economic interests by delivering advanced technology and unique technical services in chemistry and material science with a specialization in vegetable oil-based polymer research. The KPRC scientists work closely with various partners on developing and commercializing intellectual property, including:

Cargill, a leading agribusiness company, is KPRC’s partner for global commercialization of a line of BiOH® polyols that is now commercially available in areas such as automotive, construction, home furnishings, and agriculture.
In addition to Cargill, other funding organizations have included Boeing, Cessna, Raytheon, the U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Agriculture, United Soybean Board, Kansas Soybean Board, and the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council.
